So after having only had 3-4 hours sleep (mum life), I have woke up today feeling rather agitated, with my toddler pushing my buttons and testing my patience to brand new limits. I figured I should write on a more positive note in attempt to combat the tiredness and extreme grumpiness.
My positive subject of choice is – gratitude.
I want to make known some of the things that I am grateful for. I think this is a good way to recenter yourself when experiencing the ‘bad days’. So, here goes:
I am grateful for a roof over my head, food in my kitchen and my little family, full of love.
I am grateful for nature and the beauty of the outdoors. Every river, every tree, every sunrise.
I am grateful for the people I have in my life. Without them, I wouldn’t be me.
I am grateful for the challenges parenthood presents and the ever-growing, ever lasting love between my daughter and I.
I am grateful for every relationship I have formed or diminished on this journey of life. Each individual being either a blessing or lesson.
I am grateful for the past; it has moulded me into the person that I am and shaped my life as it is now.
I am grateful for each grave mistake I have ever made; for every mistake brought with it a valuable, memorable lesson to be learned.
I am grateful for the wonders and possibilities of life and universe and I am grateful to be a part of the wonder.
I am grateful for clear, starry skies at night.
I am grateful for complexity and simplicity.
I am grateful for every setback and each challenge life throws at me – time and time again, I prove I can get through anything.
